Wiesbaden, December 2017. Since June 2016, Futura Solutions has partnered up with RheinMain University for a bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science combined with vocational training. In the context of personnel development, this commitment is gaining more and more importance for the IT-company.
In order to meet the challenges posed by the lack of skilled personnel in the IT-sector, Futura Solutions intends to focus increasingly on the concept of integrated degree studies in the future. Alongside university studies in computer science, the students learn the legally recognized apprenticed trade “Computer Science Expert / Software Development” approved by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry. “Our first experiences with this model are positive,” says Managing Director Hartmut Schwadtke. At present, a student reinforces the development team in the context of integrated degree studies.
In the district of the IHK Wiesbaden, Futura Solutions is one of eight companies that act as a partner in this field. “We consider the extensive practical and professional experiences that are thus gathered during college days to be a very meaningful way of training. Theory and practice must keep pace with each other to prepare young people for increasingly dynamic work environments – not only in the IT area”, says Hartmut Schwadtke.
The IHK Wiesbaden and all other Hessian Chambers of Commerce and Industry support the state campaign “Duales Studium Hessen” and act as a regional partner with their information and counseling services.
