Wiesbaden, March 2017. With the latest release 3.9, the cloud-based FUTURA application provides far reaching functional expansions, which interconnect all stakeholders involved in the planning and procurement process in a seamless manner, across all departments and in real-time. Sourcing, purchase-to-pay and AVA are integrated into one application. The cloud-based solution FUTURA SRM is thus expanding its strengths, especially in the area of construction works and services.
The extensive functions complement the leading SAP system and encourage the cooperation of all stakeholders involved in planning, purchasing and billing. Centerpieces of the current release 3.9 are the addition of the new planning module for the tendering and bidding process and the implementation of a master service specification.
“We want to be trend setters in planning and purchasing. Not just with an empty phrase, but with a cloud-based product line that encourages all stakeholders involved in planning and purchasing to work together within a single application and with one data set. This increases efficiency in companies and reduces risks at the same time because manual entries are consistently reduced”, says managing director Hartmut Schwadtke.

Roadmap for further development
Features on the roadmap for the next release, which is already planned for the end of July 2017, are the development of further request variants, further internationalization and the implementation of a workflow engine: Its purpose is to further simplify cooperation between all the stakeholders involved and the automation of process flows. It is planned to combine functions with conditions such as: Specification of value, release and approval limits. “Consequently, stakeholders only have to declare their task as completed within the respective process step – this automatically triggers the next action over a predefined workflow. Even the most complex processes with their different flows are easy to handle because the workflow is running according to the predefined schedule“, says Markus Koch, head of product management, about the workflow engine approach. In addition, various apps for usage on mobile devices are being developed.
