Secure and future-oriented: Successful re-certification according to ISO/IEC 27001:2022

Futura Solutions has successfully completed the recertification process for ISO/IEC 27001 for the fourth time. With the latest version and updated controls for ISO/IEC 27001:2022, the globally accepted standard for information security, Futura Solutions gives its customers the assurance that their data is safe and protected.

All processes, systems and protective measures of the information security management system (ISMS) were put to the test, optimized and upgraded to the latest technical standards. The requirements of the 2022 version correspond to the German equivalent of DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2024.

Heightened information security in all key areas

The ISO/IEC 27001 standards have been updated to reflect and take into account global digital developments that increasingly rely on the cloud and digitalization. To boost the effectiveness of the ISMS, the new standard has been implemented with both editorial and extensive structural changes.

The TÜV Hessen audit team were particularly impressed by the highly detailed and practical software development policy, the high-quality documentation and the use of project management tools.  

ISO 27001 and DevOps: Synergies for secure software development

Requirements derived from new approaches to IT organization, including closer integration between software development and IT operations, as well as a new development architecture (DevOps), are fully met.

Both DevOps and ISO 27001 emphasize the importance of continuous improvement processes and follow the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle. “By combining DevOps practices with the requirements of ISO 27001 certification, we are improving information security while we also benefit from the advantages of agile development and operational processes,” adds Markus Frank, Head of IT Infrastructure.

Since its initial certification in 2015, Futura Solutions has continuously demonstrated compliance with the ISO 27001 standard through regular annual audits and evaluations, accompanied by the external data protection officer from DEUDAT GmbH.
